GLORY TO GLORY

KEYNOTE SCRIPTURE:

2 Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Dad’s make promises. We have a natural expectation for them to come to pass.
Even though the promise of our earthly fathers may fail, God’s are YES and AMEN
Even when things in the world try and shut down our Father’s plan, His promises are still Yes and AMEN.

RECAP

The Brief Briefing.

  • God is a father
  • God is an awesome father
  • God is a father of great promise
  • who makes promises
  • and made a special promise to the church.

Luke 24:49 "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

John 16:5-7 "But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you."

What an incredible promise. POWER FROM ON HIGH.

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS

Are you living a life of power?

Are you living a life where you’re need to be comforted?
Comfort has a 2 fold implication.

  1. Relief and release from negative impact on you.
  2. You’ll only experience that if things are trying to have a negative impact on you

GLORY TO GLORY

2 Corinthians 3:12-18 "Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech— unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Glory to Glory.

GOING FROM GLORY TO GLORY REQUIRES TRANSFORMATION

What is your floor? What is your ceiling?

THE STEPPING STONES OF GLORY

Romans 5:1-5 "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

If you want the supernatural you need to recognize how much time Jesus spent with the Father. If you don’t want supernatural, you can forget transformation.

BIBLE: Romans 8:5. Whatever you look on is what you’re going to become. & Romans 6.
8:5 "Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires."

Glory to set our eyes upon. to glory in.

  • The glory of God
  • The glory of the church [If you’re in the church you’re someone who has made the decision “It’s not about me, it’s about God”]
  • The glory of the nations [Did you know the nations have glory?]

GLORY & WINNING

Revelation 12:11 "We have overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our Testimony" - {Glorying in Christ VS Glorying in SIN]

Romans 8:14-18 "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. "

1 Samuel 17: 45-47 "Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted."

Philippians 3:14 "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

1 Corinthians 9:24 "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it."

2 Tim 2:5 "anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor's crown except by competing according to the rules."

1 Cor 15:57  "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Revelation 21
The Glory of the nations.
The Glory of Heaven
We partake in the spoils of the battle // co-heirs with christ.
